Philosophy
LAKE BOGA PHILOSOPHY
At Shine Bright Lake Boga Kindergarten, we believe in fostering child-led learning programs that set high expectations for learning and development. Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, we employ intentional teaching strategies to support each child’s dispositions of learning with our strong partnership with Lake Boga Primary School, we are encapsulated by the title “Lake Boga Educational Hub,” The Hub reflects our shared commitment to excellence in education and care. Our practices are upheld by the National Quality Framework and Quality Standards, ensuring compliance with national laws and regulations.
We are dedicated to the holistic well-being of every child, guided by the ECA Code of Ethics. We prioritize child safety, striving to create an inviting environment where all children feel safe, happy, and empowered. Building positive relationships with children, families, co-workers, and the community is central to our approach, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard in our programs. Personalized connections and communication with families support each child’s individual learning journey. Together we aim to provide the community of Lake Boga with a strong and innovative Early Years’ Service.
The Lake Boga Kindergarten values learning environments that are safe, secure, respectful, nurturing, fun and engaging. We ensure all children’s rights are upheld with an emphasis on inclusive environments that create awareness of identity and cultural diversity. The Lake Boga Kindergarten is committed to supporting all children to understand Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the meaning of caring for country.
We emphasise the inclusion of all children, ensuring learning outcomes that support both individual and group needs. With tailored group sizes and a strength-based approach, we foster a sense of belonging, routine, and friendship through play-based learning. Sustainability is a key focus, encouraging children to develop an awareness of the natural environment and its resources. Our responsive educators engage in shared sustained thinking and continually reflect on children’s interests, creating dynamic learning environments that inspire exploration, creativity, wonder, and discovery.
