The program, in addition to other decisions made at the service, is planned, implemented and evaluated around the child\u2019s needs, interests and stage of development. Early childhood educators observe and assess each child and plan to suit the abilities and interests of individuals and groups of children. The program aims to develop the whole child, his\/her intellectual, social, emotional, physical and creative self.<\/p>\n<p>Activities at the kindergarten are based on \u201cplay\u201d, which is the most important way children learn. Play is the essential part of any Pre-school program. Through play, children can explore, experiment, create, communicate, solve problems, think and ultimately discover for themselves. The environment is planned and organized to encourage children to play and learn as they experience; encouraging children to become self-motivated and competent learners.<\/p>\n<p>Children learn through planned and spontaneous activities, which are child initiated or teacher initiated and based upon the Victorian Early Years Learning &amp; Development Framework learning outcomes \u2013 Identity, Community, Wellbeing, Learning and Communication.
